If you're flying multiple aircraft types, you might need somewhat different settings for the different types. Instead of manually changing these settings when you switch aircraft, you're encouraged to use SRS profiles, automatically adjusting the settings depending on what aircraft you're currently using. Using profiles also has advantages even if you only fly one aircraft, as it distinguishes spectator mode from flying mode. The following guide goes through the setup.

Default Setup

Start SRS and setup tabs as described below:
General-Tab

1. Set Microphone/Speakers as needed
2. Set Speaker Boost to something between 10-20 dB or as preferred.
3. Set EAM Name (Your callsign)

Settings-Tab

1. Check/Set PROFILE = "default"

Control-Tab

1. Check that all lines are cleared (Radio 1, Device=None, Button=None etc.). If not, press "CLEAR".

Favourites-Tab

1. Name: Master Arms Primary, ServerAdress: SR.MASTERARMS.SE:5002, EAM Coal. Pass: blue
2. Name: Master Arms Secondary, ServerAdress: SR.MASTERARMS.SE:5003, EAM Coal. Pass: blue (optional)

Settings-Tab

1. Check/Set GLOBAL SETTINGS -> AUTO CONNECT -> Auto Connect = ON
2. Check/Set GLOBAL SETTINGS -> MISCELLANOUS SETTINGS -> Auto Select Profile For Aircraft = ON
3. Select "COPY PROFILE"
4. Name the profile according to table below
   * Repeat step 3-4 for all the modules you are using.
5. Change PROFILE from "default" to the one you created. (e.g FA-18 if you created a F/A-18C profile)
6. Setup profile according to the instructions for Fixed/Rotary Wing below
   * Repeat step 5-6 for all the profiles you created.

• Bind Radio 1, 2 and 3 to different HOTAS buttons (Recommended: Forward, Down and Aft on a 4-way switch on the throttle)

Settings-Tab

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> CONTROL/COCKPIT INTEGRATION and Check/Set:

- Radio Switch work as Push To Talk(PTT) = ON

- Auto Select First Channel Preset = ON

- ALWAYS allow SRS Hotkeys = ON

- ALWAYS allow Transponder Overlay Controls = OFF

- Allow INCOCKPIT DCS Controlled PTT = OFF

- Rotary Style Frequency Increment/Decrement = OFF

- Push to Talk Release Delay (ms) = 50 ms (first tick mark)

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> RADIO EFFECT SETTINGS and set as desired*.

- As a start, set "Enable Ambient Cockpit Effects" to ≈ 10% or OFF

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> AUDIO and set as desired*.

*Can be changed in-game if needed

AJS 37

Control-Tab

• Bind Radio 1 and 3 to different HOTAS buttons (Recommended: Left and Right on a 2/4-way switch on the joystick)

Settings-Tab

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> CONTROL/COCKPIT INTEGRATION and Check/Set:

- Radio Switch work as Push To Talk(PTT) = ON

- Auto Select First Channel Preset = ON

- ALWAYS allow SRS Hotkeys = ON

- ALWAYS allow Transponder Overlay Controls = ON

- Allow INCOCKPIT DCS Controlled PTT = OFF

- Rotary Style Frequency Increment/Decrement = OFF

C-130J

Control-Tab

• Bind "Common PTT" and "Special Intercom Select & PTT" to different HOTAS buttons (Recommended: Forward and Aft on a 4-way switch on the joystick or throttle)
• Bind "Next Radio" and "Previous Radio" to different HOTAS buttons* (Recommended: Up and Down on the same 4-way switch as above)

Settings-Tab

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> CONTROL/COCKPIT INTEGRATION and Check/Set:

- Radio Switch work as Push To Talk(PTT) = OFF

- Auto Select First Channel Preset = ON

- ALWAYS allow SRS Hotkeys = ON

- ALWAYS allow Transponder Overlay Controls = ON

- Allow INCOCKPIT DCS Controlled PTT = OFF

- Rotary Style Frequency Increment/Decrement = OFF

- Push to Talk Release Delay (ms) = 50 ms (first tick mark)

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> RADIO EFFECT SETTINGS and set as desired**.

- As a start, set "Enable Ambient Cockpit Effects" to ≈ 10% or OFF

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> AUDIO and set as desired*.

*You will not be able to use "Transmission Selector Switch" in cockpit. If you want to be able to change the radio with the knob in the cockpit, skip mapping these and set "ALWAYS allow SRS Hotkeys = OFF"

F-4E Pilot/WSO

Control-Tab

• Bind Radio 1, 3 and "Special Intercom Select & PTT" to different HOTAS buttons (Recommended: Forward, Down and Aft on a 4-way switch on the throttle)

Settings-Tab

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> CONTROL/COCKPIT INTEGRATION and Check/Set:

- Radio Switch work as Push To Talk(PTT) = ON

- Auto Select First Channel Preset = ON

- ALWAYS allow SRS Hotkeys = ON

- ALWAYS allow Transponder Overlay Controls = OFF

- Allow INCOCKPIT DCS Controlled PTT = OFF

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> AUDIO and set as desired*.

F-14A/B Pilot

Settings-Tab

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> CONTROL/COCKPIT INTEGRATION and Check/Set:

- Radio Switch work as Push To Talk(PTT) = ON

- Auto Select First Channel Preset = ON

- ALWAYS allow SRS Hotkeys = OFF

- ALWAYS allow Transponder Overlay Controls = OFF

- Allow INCOCKPIT DCS Controlled PTT = ON

- Rotary Style Frequency Increment/Decrement = OFF

- Push to Talk Release Delay (ms) = 50 ms (first tick mark)

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> RADIO EFFECT SETTINGS and set as desired*.

- As a start, set "Enable Ambient Cockpit Effects" to ≈ 10% or OFF

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> AUDIO and set as desired*.

*Can be changed in-game if needed

DCS

• Bind the following 3 Actions (Recommended: Forward, Down and Aft in that order on a 4-way switch on the throttle):

1. "Mic Button UHF1 (ARC-159) - SRS or VoIP Only / No Menu"
2. "Mic Button ICS - SRS or VoIP Only / No Menu"
3. "Mic Button UHF2 (ARC-182) - SRS or VoIP Only / No Menu"

F-14A/B RIO

Settings-Tab

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> CONTROL/COCKPIT INTEGRATION and Check/Set:

- Radio Switch work as Push To Talk(PTT) = ON

- Auto Select First Channel Preset = ON

- ALWAYS allow SRS Hotkeys = OFF

- ALWAYS allow Transponder Overlay Controls = OFF

- Allow INCOCKPIT DCS Controlled PTT = ON

- Rotary Style Frequency Increment/Decrement = OFF

- Push to Talk Release Delay (ms) = 50 ms (first tick mark)

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> RADIO EFFECT SETTINGS and set as desired*.

- As a start, set "Enable Ambient Cockpit Effects" to ≈ 10% or OFF

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> AUDIO and set as desired*.

*Can be changed in-game if needed

DCS

• Bind axis "ICS Button ICS (Intercom) PTT (axis threshold) - SRS or VoIP Only / No Menu" to left toe brake
• Bind axis "ICS Button MIC (UHF) PTT (axis threshold) - SRS or VoIP Only / No Menu" to right toe brake
• Bind "XMTR SEL UHF1 and UHF2" to a 2-way switch (selects radio to transmit on)

F-15E Pilot/WSO

Control-Tab

• Bind Radio 1, 2 and "Special Intercom Select & PTT" to different HOTAS buttons (Recommended: Forward, Down and Aft on a 4-way switch on the throttle)

Settings-Tab

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> CONTROL/COCKPIT INTEGRATION and Check/Set:

- Radio Switch work as Push To Talk(PTT) = ON

- Auto Select First Channel Preset = ON

- ALWAYS allow SRS Hotkeys = ON

- ALWAYS allow Transponder Overlay Controls = OFF

- Allow INCOCKPIT DCS Controlled PTT = OFF

- Rotary Style Frequency Increment/Decrement = OFF

- Push to Talk Release Delay (ms) = 50 ms (first tick mark)

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> RADIO EFFECT SETTINGS and set as desired*.

- As a start, set "Enable Ambient Cockpit Effects" to ≈ 10% or OFF

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> AUDIO and set as desired*.

F-16C

Control-Tab

• Bind Radio 1 and 2 to different HOTAS buttons (preferably Forward and Aft on a 2/4-way switch on the throttle)

- Allow INCOCKPIT DCS Controlled PTT = OFF

- Rotary Style Frequency Increment/Decrement = OFF

- Push to Talk Release Delay (ms) = 50 ms (first tick mark)

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> RADIO EFFECT SETTINGS and set as desired*.

- As a start, set "Enable Ambient Cockpit Effects" to ≈ 10% or OFF

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> AUDIO and set as desired*.

F/A-18C

Control-Tab

• Bind Radio 1, 2 and 3 to different HOTAS buttons (Recommended: Aft, Down, Forward on a 4-way switch on the throttle, in that order, Radio 3 being your MIDS intra comms)

Settings-Tab

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> CONTROL/COCKPIT INTEGRATION and Check/Set:

- Radio Switch work as Push To Talk(PTT) = ON

- Auto Select First Channel Preset = ON

- ALWAYS allow SRS Hotkeys = ON

- ALWAYS allow Transponder Overlay Controls = OFF

- Allow INCOCKPIT DCS Controlled PTT = OFF

- Rotary Style Frequency Increment/Decrement = OFF

- Push to Talk Release Delay (ms) = 50 ms (first tick mark)

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> RADIO EFFECT SETTINGS and set as desired*.

- As a start set:

• MIDS Tx & Rx Effects = OFF
• "Enable Ambient Cockpit Effects" to ≈ 10% or OFF

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> AUDIO and set as desired*.

- Recommendation: All centered, except Radio 2 (Full Right)

*Can be changed in-game if needed

M-2000C

Control-Tab

• Bind Radio 1 and 2 to different HOTAS buttons (preferably Forward and Aft on a 2/4-way switch on the throttle)

Settings-Tab

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> CONTROL/COCKPIT INTEGRATION and Check/Set:

- Radio Switch work as Push To Talk(PTT) = ON

- Auto Select First Channel Preset = ON

- ALWAYS allow SRS Hotkeys = ON

- ALWAYS allow Transponder Overlay Controls = OFF

- Allow INCOCKPIT DCS Controlled PTT = OFF

- Rotary Style Frequency Increment/Decrement = OFF

- Push to Talk Release Delay (ms) = 50 ms (first tick mark)

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> RADIO EFFECT SETTINGS and set as desired*.

- As a start, set "Enable Ambient Cockpit Effects" to ≈ 10% or OFF

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> AUDIO and set as desired*.

Rotary Wing

AH-64D Pilot

Control-Tab

• Bind "Push To Talk - PTT" and "Special Intercom Select & PTT" (Recommended: Left and Right on a 4-way switch with push on the stick)

Settings-Tab

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> CONTROL/COCKPIT INTEGRATION and Check/Set:

- Radio Switch work as Push To Talk(PTT) = OFF

- Auto Select First Channel Preset = ON

- ALWAYS allow SRS Hotkeys = OFF

- ALWAYS allow Transponder Overlay Controls = OFF

- Allow INCOCKPIT DCS Controlled PTT = OFF

- Rotary Style Frequency Increment/Decrement = OFF

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> RADIO EFFECT SETTINGS and set as desired*.

- Radio Transmit Start Effect - "RADIO_TRANS_START_APACHE.wav"

- As a start, set "Enable Ambient Cockpit Effects" to ≈ 10% or OFF

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> AUDIO and set as desired*.

*Can be changed in-game if needed

DCS

• Bind "PTT/RTS Switch - RTS Depress" (preferably to the push on the same 4-way switch as above)

AH-64D CPG

As a CPG you are also expected to be able to fly the helicopter from the front seat. Therefore we assume here that the stick/throttle are set for flying and that a PS/Xbox controller is used for the TEDAC. Therefore, we need to set up PTT buttons on both the stick and the controller as shown below.

Control-Tab

• Bind "Push To Talk - PTT" and "Special Intercom Select & PTT" (Recommended: Push button on the Left and Right stick on PS/Xbox controller)
• Bind "Next Radio" and "Previous Radio" (Recommended: Up/Down arrow on the keyboard)

Settings-Tab

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> CONTROL/COCKPIT INTEGRATION and Check/Set:

- Radio Switch work as Push To Talk(PTT) = OFF

- Auto Select First Channel Preset = ON

- ALWAYS allow SRS Hotkeys = OFF

- ALWAYS allow Transponder Overlay Controls = OFF

- Allow INCOCKPIT DCS Controlled PTT = ON

- Rotary Style Frequency Increment/Decrement = OFF

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> RADIO EFFECT SETTINGS and set as desired*.

- Radio Transmit Start Effect - "RADIO_TRANS_START_APACHE.wav"

- As a start, set "Enable Ambient Cockpit Effects" to ≈ 10% or OFF

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> AUDIO and set as desired*.

*Can be changed in-game if needed

DCS

• Bind "PTT/RTS Switch - RADIO/Left (call radio menu)" (Recommended: Left on a 4-way switch with push on the stick)
• Bind "PTT/RTS Switch - ICS/Right (call radio menu)" (Recommended: Right on the same 4-way switch as above)
• Bind "PTT/RTS Switch - RTS Depress" (preferably to the push on the same 4-way switch as above)

Ka-50 III

Control-Tab

• Bind "Common PP" (Recommended: Button on the stick)

Settings-Tab

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> CONTROL/COCKPIT INTEGRATION and Check/Set:

- Radio Switch work as Push To Talk(PTT) = OFF

- Auto Select First Channel Preset = ON

- ALWAYS allow SRS Hotkeys = OFF

- ALWAYS allow Transponder Overlay Controls = OFF

- Allow INCOCKPIT DCS Controlled PTT = ON

- Rotary Style Frequency Increment/Decrement = OFF

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> RADIO EFFECT SETTINGS and set as desired*.

- As a start, set "Enable Ambient Cockpit Effects" to ≈ 10% or OFF

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> AUDIO and set as desired*.

DCS

• Bind "SPU-9 Radio communicator selector - CA(VHF-2)" (preferably to a 4-way switch on the throttle)
• Bind "SPU-9 Radio communicator selector - GND CREW" (preferably to same 4-way switch as above)
• Bind "SPU-9 Radio communicator selector - SW" (preferably to same 4-way switch as above)
• Bind "SPU-9 Radio communicator selector - VHF-1" (preferably to same 4-way switch as above)

OH-58D Pilot

Settings-Tab

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> CONTROL/COCKPIT INTEGRATION and Check/Set:

- Radio Switch work as Push To Talk(PTT) = OFF

- Auto Select First Channel Preset = ON

- ALWAYS allow SRS Hotkeys = OFF

- ALWAYS allow Transponder Overlay Controls = ON

- Allow INCOCKPIT DCS Controlled PTT = ON

- Rotary Style Frequency Increment/Decrement = OFF

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> RADIO EFFECT SETTINGS and set as desired*.

- As a start, set "Enable Ambient Cockpit Effects" to ≈ 10% or OFF

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> AUDIO and set as desired*.

*Can be changed in-game if needed

DCS

• Bind "Pilot Radio Select Switch - 1/2/3/5" to different HOTAS buttons (Recommended: 4-way switch on throttle)
• Bind "Pilot Radio Channel Select Switch" (AFT/FWD/LEFT and RIGHT) to different HOTAS buttons (Recommended: same 4-way switch as above with "modifier")
• Bind "CSCP, PTT - Intercom" to trigger 1st detent and 2nd detent "OFF" as shown below
• Bind "CSCP, PTT - Radio" to trigger 2nd detent as shown below

OH-58D CPO

Control-Tab

• Bind Radio 1,2,3 and 4 to different HOTAS buttons (Recommended: 4-way switch on throttle)
• Bind "Special Intercom Select & PTT" to trigger 1st detent on the stick*
• Bind "Push To Talk - PTT" to trigger 2nd detent on the stick*
• Bind "Push To Talk - PTT Modifier" to trigger 1nd detent on the stick (Same as "Special Intercom Select & PTT" )

Settings-Tab

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> CONTROL/COCKPIT INTEGRATION and Check/Set:

- Radio Switch work as Push To Talk(PTT) = OFF

- Auto Select First Channel Preset = ON

- ALWAYS allow SRS Hotkeys = ON

- ALWAYS allow Transponder Overlay Controls = OFF

- Allow INCOCKPIT DCS Controlled PTT = OFF

- Rotary Style Frequency Increment/Decrement = OFF

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> RADIO EFFECT SETTINGS and set as desired*.

- As a start, set "Enable Ambient Cockpit Effects" to ≈ 10% or OFF

• Go to PROFILE SETTINGS -> AUDIO and set as desired*.

*Can be changed in-game if needed

DCS If you want visual feedback in cockpit of Transmit Selector Switch moving bind "CSCP, Transmit Selector Switch - 1/2/3/5" to same 4-way switch as radio 1,2,3 and 4 in SRS above
