- To make it easier for wingman to follow, FL should set a FTIT.
Target Area Ingress Preparations (Fence In)
On FL order "Fence IN"
- Set up/Check:
- - countermeasures
- - weapons
- - TGP
- Master Arm Switch to ARM
- Turn OFF exterior lights
When done, Check total fuel quantity and report "Fenced In, Fuel x,x" (x,x= fuel in thousands of lbs with one decimal. 8300 lbs => 8.3)
On FL order "Fence OUT"
- Master Arm Switch to SAFE
- Countermeasures to STBY
- TGP to STBY
- Check Master Caution light and Caution Light Paneland for any system failures.
- Turn ON exterior lights
When done, Check total fuel quantity and report "Fenced Out, Fuel x,x"
Tactical Formations
Visual references for "finger tip": - Align UHF antenna (Behind cockpit) and either the missile rail or the Position- and Anti-Col.lights on the wing root. - Align the trailing edges of the vertical stabilizors.
Visual signals: Yaw (pedal left and right) - Go to Route TBD - Spread Tumble (down and up) - Go to Tactical Quick wingflick - Wingman cross over to other side. Wing Rocking - Rejoin
